Learn New Knitting Techniques
Instructor: Reba Maisel
Tuesday evenings, beginning January 19 for 12 weeks         7:00 - 9:00 pm
$45 + materials

For the adventurous knitter! All levels of expertise . . . yes, even beginners! Knit a luscious afghan while learning many new techniques (cables, Fair Isle, intarsia, lace, etc.) Complete one square per week (each square uses one skein), nine to twelve squares per afghan. We have many ideas for a "square at a time" throw or choose your own patterns. This is an excellent way to learn various knitting techniques while completing a beautiful, useful item. Choose your yarns and we will hold them for you until you need them.
Knitting a Sweater from the Top Down
Monday, March 1, 8, 15, 22, and April 5         7:00 - 9:00 pm

$50 plus materials

A nice project for new knitters. Knitting a raglan pullover or cardigan from the neck down on circular needles means no seams to sew! This type of sweater is knitted "all in one." The sleeves are included in the main body of the garment so there is minimal finishing involved. There are many patterns available for this method (Cabin Fever and Pure & Simple, etc.)
